Quality Support Technician

Summary

The Quality Support Technician supports the operations team by providing a detailed and thorough inspection and cleaning of repaired vehicles prior to release to the customer. This role also assists shop operations by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including cleaning and organizing equipment and tools.

• Perform a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
• Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area and promptly notify the General Manager or assigned technician of any defects or issues.
• Assist in the general maintenance of the shop location and outside grounds.
• Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
• Consistently use all required safety equipment, adhere to hazardous waste disposal requirements, and participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Maintain the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and return tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.
• Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Perform cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, collecting and emptying trash cans daily; service, clean, and supply any items in restrooms.
• Make minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations team.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle.
