The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at ALIYA Healthcare Consulting, supporting a healthcare facility. This critical position is responsible for the comprehensive management of both the Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments, ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe, comfortable, and clean manner. The role plays a vital part in upholding regulatory compliance and providing a high-quality environment for residents and staff.

Reports directly to the Administrator and coordinates extensively with other facility departments. - Mission:
To ensure the facility is safely, comfortably, and cleanly maintained in full compliance with all current federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
- Department Leadership:
Plan, organize, develop, and direct all operational aspects of the Maintenance Department, ensuring adherence to current federal, state, and local standards and guidelines. - Facility Upkeep & Vendor Management:
Oversee all facility and resident property repairs, including the coordination and supervision of external vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions and proper service completion. Establish and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. - Safety & Compliance Oversight:
Implement and supervise robust safety and fire protection programs, manage hazardous materials including MSDS maintenance and proper labeling, and develop waste disposal policies, ensuring all personnel follow established safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment. - Quality Assurance & Reporting:
Conduct weekly inspections of all maintenance functions and facility areas, participate in government agency surveys, develop plans of correction for noted deficiencies, and report regularly to the Administrator on department operations and recommendations. - Housekeeping Management:
Coordinate and perform daily housekeeping services, including cleaning, sanitizing, and proper waste disposal, ensuring a consistently clean, safe, and comfortable environment throughout the facility.
- Background:
Director-level professional with a minimum of a high school education or equivalent, specializing in maintenance and environmental services within a healthcare setting. - Experience:
At least 3 years in a supervisory role within a maintenance/environmental services department. - Skills:
Profound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (boilers, compressors, generators), ability to interpret blueprints, strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and waste disposal policies. Must be licensed in accordance with applicable current standards, codes, and labor laws. - Bonus:
Prior experience working specifically in long-term care facilities is highly valued.
