Janitor

Help keep Yetter Manufacturing clean, safe, and ready for the workday. As a Janitor, you’ll play an important role in maintaining our facilities and supporting a safe, organized work environment for our employees. • Sweep and mop floors and dust and wipe down assigned areas
• Empty and dispose of trash throughout assigned areas
• Clean and disinfect restrooms
• Clean microwaves and maintain breakroom areas
• Monitor and stock restroom and breakroom supplies
• Report items requiring maintenance or repair
• Operate a mechanical floor sweeper in the main aisles of production areas
• Clean areas and respond to emergent cleaning needs, including areas that may be contaminated with blood and/or body fluids

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial or related experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work at either our Macomb or Colchester location and rotate between locations as assigned
• Ability to safely operate a mechanical floor sweeper
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, labels, and hazard symbols
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

• First Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Monday through Friday plus required overtime as scheduled
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying seasonal temperatures, noise, machinery, and other typical factory conditions
• Physically active position requiring standing and walking for the majority of the shift and lifting up to 50 lbs
