Floor Technician

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all resilient flooring and carpets installed throughout the community. You will be responsible for the oversight, inventory, and maintenance of all cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals.

In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of all resilient flooring and carpets installed throughout the community. You will be responsible for the oversight, inventory, and maintenance of all cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals.

• Strip, seal, and wax all resilient flooring installed throughout the campus.
• Mop, buff, burnish, and restore flooring as scheduled or as needed.
• Clean, vacuum, and maintain all carpeting installed throughout community.
• Prepare carpeting for spot treatments, extraction, shampooing or bonnet cleaning as scheduled or needed.
• Removal and destruction of general trash as well as bio-hazardous and infectious waste from collection areas as specified by local and state regulations.
• Organize and keep inventory of all supplies and equipment.
• Keep all department equipment clean and in good operating condition.
• Assist with keeping the community safe, neat, orderly, and aesthetically pleasing by picking up loose garbage and the daily removal of waste from garbage cans.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as community and local/state policies dictate.
• Maintain a record/file of services performed by room number/ date.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required; vocational school certification preferred

Licenses/Certifications: N/A

Experience: None required, prior floor cleaning and/or janitorial experience preferred
