Position Overview

The Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for setup, operation, and maintenance of the robotic welder.

Preferred Skills
  • Program, set-up, adjust and operate robotic weld equipment.
  • Conduct basic preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
  • Develop new and improve existing robotic welding processes.
  • Perform QC checks on production parts.
  • Operate robotic welding machine to weld separately or in combination with manual welding.
  • Monitor, select and install welder consumables as needed.
  • Use tools, equipment, and technology, including hand or power tools, manufacturing/operations equipment and computerized or automated systems.
  • Maintain work area(s) in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Maintain production data and reports.
  • Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the company safety policies.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • One year of prior work experience working with programming and operating robotic welding machines preferred.
  • Two years of industrial welding experience preferred.
  • Understanding of welding quality.
  • Self‑motivated, initiates work with minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, manufacturing drawings or similar information.
  • Must be able to write legibly and demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to seventy‑five pounds, as well as lift and move heavier objects with the assistance of cranes, forklifts, or another employee.
  • Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules including safety precautions.
  • Ability and willingness to cooperate with co‑workers and work as part of a production team.
