Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher (Part-Time)
Location: Rosemont, IL
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM (3 hours/day)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to support the cleanliness and organization of our corporate kitchen spaces. This role plays a key part in assisting culinary and product development teams by ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained work environment. This is not an industrial cleaning role-only kitchen and culinary areas.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes and clean all kitchen surfaces (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, organizing, polishing).
- Keep all shared kitchen areas clean, sanitized, and orderly before and after use.
- Empty trash, recycling, and compost; dispose of waste properly.
- Restock supplies and disposables; monitor inventory and report shortages.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen spaces for meetings or events.
- Unpack, rotate, label, and stock all inventory items.
- Help with basic food prep and plating as needed.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment; report maintenance or safety issues.
- 3-5 years of experience in kitchen, hotel, or banquet stewarding environments.
- Experience in professional cleaning and kitchen operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable working in refrigerators or freezers for short periods (PPE provided).
- Able to follow verbal instructions and work both independently and as part of a 7-person team.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Food safety knowledge (Food Handler Card preferred but not required).
- Ability to wear PPE (gloves, aprons, safety shoes).
