We are now hiring for a part-time Hourly
Residential Monitor to join our Supervised Residential Team! Within our Rogers Park location.
SALARY: The hourly salary for the position is $16.80. Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications.
We are seeking a Residential Monitor for our temporary Rogers Park program. Must have flexible availability for shifts 7AM- 3PM, 3PM-11PM, and 11PM-7AM on Saturdays and Sundays, but also have some availability for the weekdays and holidays on an as-needed basis. Must be available to work at least three shifts per month.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Reports building maintenance service needs to landlords and/or real estate agencies.
- Makesquarterly apartment inspections.
- Schedules annual inspections with the Fire Department.
- Assists clients with meal planning and preparation, housekeeping, and personal grooming.
- Provides supervision in arts and crafts, cooking, music, hygiene, life skills and other community support groups.
- Engages clients in social activities, and serves as an escort on field trips as needed.
- Documents client incidents and reports client issues and concerns to supervisor.
- Is on-call needed for emergency situations, as well as provides coverage for other Residential Monitors as needed due to sick leave and vacations.
- May be required to do heavy lifting and other physical activities to assist clients.
- Provides Residential Monitor training for new staff.
- Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
- High School diploma or equivalent, required.
- Three (3) years of related work experience, required.
- Must be available to work at least three shifts per month, required.
- Must have flexible availability for shifts 7am- 3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on an as-needed basis.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with individuals with significant mental health needs.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Must have a valid IL driver's license and vehicle insurance.
- Must be willing to drive clients in personal vehicle to appointments or grocery store as needed.
- Satisfactorily pass all relevant screening and criminal background checks.
- Driving for work required with transportation of clients preferred in a personally owned vehicle.
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
