Housekeeping Technician; M-F

Will train at either Coffeyville clinic or Independence clinic located in the Four County building location.

This position is part of the facilities team. It is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of CHC/SEK facilities. The Housekeeping Technician performs daily facility cleaning using specialized supplies and equipment and may also assist with light general maintenance. All work must follow Universal Precautions and Material Safety Data Sheets.

• Perform daily custodial work such as cleaning, disinfection and stocking of paper exam rooms and restrooms.
• Clean, disinfect and polish furniture.
• Vacuum, shampoo and spot clean carpets using a commercial carpet extractor; maintain and wax tile floors with a commercial floor scrubber and burnisher.
• Remove trash daily according to established procedures.
• Report and respond to immediate or emergency custodial requests.
• Maintain the exterior of the facility and grounds, including daily trash pickup, periodic window washing, light grounds keeping, power washing, sidewalk sweeping, snow removal and de‑icing as necessary.
• Maintain inventory and submit written requests for needed supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Any combination of education and experience that meets the required knowledge and abilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required vision includes distance vision and depth perception.
