Canadian Liquids Processors Limited, a division of Emterra Group, is Canada’s only licensed distillation facility of its kind. We are seeking an Alcohol Recovery Operator to operate and maintain our recovery processes, supporting cost‑effective and environmentally responsible ethanol production and recycling.
Position Description- Safely receive, handle, test, and store alcohol‑based liquid substances
- Monitor and operate ethanol recovery and production processes
- Operate and support wastewater treatment systems
- Perform spill prevention, response, and control procedures
- Safely load and unload liquid tanker trucks
- Monitor and maintain plant systems and equipment, including boilers and cooling towers
- Complete data entry, record‑keeping, and basic clerical duties
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Chemical testing for water in boiler
- Test water for optimal operations
- Cleaning tanks
- Maintenance/monitor of tanks and PH levels, PSI, temperature, BOD and COD’s biological oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand
- Knowledge of Distillation process
- Process Operation with DCS control in a liquid, willing to train
- Demonstrated mechanical ability (Demonstrated by past performance and certification in Power engineering, HVAC, Electrical, Maintenance (E.g. Mechanic, Millwright) preferred)
- Familiarity with pumps, boilers and peripheral equipment and pumping theory and dynamics
- Demonstrated numerical accuracy
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Safety consciousness
- Physical ability to lift and handle heavy objects
- Willingness to work shifts (continental) and work alone
- High School Diploma required.
- Post‑secondary education strongly preferred in:
Process Operations / Chemical Process Technology, Power Engineering (4th or 5th Class an asset), Environmental Technology / Wastewater Treatment - 3–5 years of experience in distillery, brewery, winery, or industrial processing environments.

Wage: $20.80/hour
