Mill Maintenance Manager

• Pay or shift range: $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD

JFS Milling, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct and coordinate all maintenance operations at the Dubois, IN JFS Feed Mill location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise, coordinate, and delegate maintenance activities for mill equipment.
• Oversee onsite contractors and manage project related work
• Utilize CMMS program to develop and sustain an effective PM program
• Develop a storg knowledge of operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems related to the mill and trucks/trailers
• Have knowledge of normal operating parameters and procedures.
• Operate and maintain high pressure boiler systems
• Conduct boiler water sampling and testing along with oversight of maintenance personnel performing sampling and testing
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment. Have a general understanding of electrical circuits. Including control voltages (24V, 120v), 3-phase power up to 480V and single phase power.
• Basic understanding of PLC's and PLC/equipment interfaces
• Engage in dismantling, assembling, and installing mechanical equipment
• Support inventory management and organization of maintenance parts
• Parts quoting and ordering for all maintenance related activities
• Management and organization of all necessary truck/trailer DOT documentation
• Use all personal protective equipment provided by the company in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records when necessary
• Work with team to prioritize and assign work
• Assist in training other technicians on all job duties
• Audit PM effectivness and PM performance
• Participate in project meetings and other work related meetings when required
• Ensure all departmental safety training is completed
• Ensure safety programs and procedures are followed by all employees
• Preform routine safety walk-throughs and correct unsafe conditions
• Develop and maintain a technical training program for all technicians

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience/

Qualification:

• Previous maintenance experience a plus, but not required. Three to five years of related experience preferred.
• Previous electrical and electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Previous MIG and/or Arc welding experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Experience with in the feed milling/grain industry preferred.
• Class A CDL preferred, but not required. Willingness to pursue Class A CDL.
• Previous experience in leadership roles preferred
• Ability to properly and professionally communicate with management and team members
• Computer skills and experience with Excel, Word, and other common programs a must.

Physical:

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug and background checks (including criminal).
• Physical demand requirements:
  Stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
• Must be capable of working from a ladder or other type of elevated working surface. Some surfaces are at or above 200'.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in an an environment with moderate noise levels.
• Must be able to work in seasonal weather conditions. Hot, cold, wet, snow, etc.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work required hours and shifts, including working weekends, overtime and on holidays.
• Be willing to work an on-call rotation with other maintenance staff
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
