Line Service Technician

In partnership with Mather Aviation, we are hiring an entry level Line Service Technician. This is the best job to get aviation experience and work your way towards being an General Aviation Mechanic.

The Line Service Technician is responsible for a wide variety of tasks at Mather Jet Center and Mather Aviation. From greeting arriving planes and moving them into the hangar to shuttling customers around the city, the Line Service Technician often serves as the face of our company to our customers. The Line Service Technician's day will involve many different tasks including moving and repositioning aircraft inside/outside the hangar, fueling aircraft, washing and detailing aircraft, hangar cleanup, restocking supplies, running errands, and maintaining shop equipment.

• Requires dexterity to manipulate hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Previous Line Service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based computers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Flexible schedule

• Ground support and handling of aircraft
• Fueling of aircraft
• Wash/wax/detail aircraft
• Drive customers to hotel, airport, home
• Perform regular shop cleanup as assigned
• Interact/assist with requests from management, co-workers, or customers
• General maintenance of shop equipment
• Breaking down boxes, collecting trash, restocking restrooms, light janitorial work
• Hazardous waste cleanup (utilizing internal hazardous waste program)
• Wash/wax/detail company and customer vehicles
• Respond to direct customer requests via phone/e-mail
