The Role
The Production Team Member – Shipping is responsible for loading and strapping the pontoon boats to the trailers, also building the steel on the trailers for the load while following all safety policies and procedures. Individuals in this role must have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, and be able to work in heat, rain, and snow.
Shipping associates work longer hours at the end of the month so must be flexible in the last week of each month.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Load and unload pontoon boats using a hoist system.
- Perform daily safety checks and basic preventative maintenance on the hoists.
- Ability to respond quickly to numerous requests in a fast-paced work environment.
- Assignments given by supervisor as required.
- Support a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifying opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Must have the ability to perform all physical requirements required of the position, including but not limited to: ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb, squat for 8+ hours and lift upward of 40 lbs.
- Ability to adapt to climate, inside and outside
- Must display good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to follow policies and procedures and wear required PPE
- Must be able to multi-task while remaining calm under pressure
- Must possess good work ethic, positive attitudes, and be motivated to meet and/or exceed production goals.
- Ability to work flexible hours (overtime / weekends) if needed.
- Flexibility to take on additional assignments given by supervisor as required/needed to support production goals.
