CompensationBase Salary: $85,000 – $100,000.
Production Bonus (average ~49%): $41,650 – $49,000.
Conversion Bonus (average ~15%): $12,750 – $15,000.
Average Profit Sharing (annual, 17% average): $23,698 – $27,880.
1st Year Total Compensation ranges from $163,098 – $191,880

Position DescriptionIn this role you will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Cast/Melt maintenance team, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff, maintaining melt/cast facilities and equipment, and implementing strategies to improve operations and reduce costs.
- 100% compliance with “Take control of Safety” initiatives for yourself and the maintenance team.
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- Ensure scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs with engineering and maintenance staff.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Develop new methods and procedures to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and enhance utilization of labor and materials.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations; obtain quotes for projects and equipment.
- Train and onboard workers to improve performance and acquaint them with company policies and procedures.
- Consult with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend operational improvements.
- Consult with management on personnel issues.
- Assist in controlling costs within departmental budgets.
- Manage employees assigned to your area of responsibility, ensuring equipment is cared for without abuse or unnecessary damage.
- Monitor employee training and suggest needed changes to workers and work procedures.
- Participate in Lean initiatives that affect production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Supervise and motivate employees to achieve maintenance goals.
- Conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
- Strong maintenance leadership experience with at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Positive, highly motivated attitude.
- Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial maintenance systems (electrical, hydraulic, fabrication, etc.).
- Understanding of budgeting and performance management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong teamwork and writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced problem‑solving and mathematical skills.
- Willingness to work hard and efficiently to increase company profitability and profit‑sharing earnings.
- Ability to pass a fit test for a full‑face respirator and SCBA (no beards).
