About this position
Responsible for general maintenance throughout the hotel.
A little taste of your day-to-day- Directing daily engineering needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task
- Creating a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy
- Maintaining preventative maintenance and supplies whilst minimizing waste and meeting our green initiatives
- Being flexible to respond to ad‑hoc duties where we have to unexpectedly pull together to get a task completed
- Coordinating with other departments to minimize disruptions and support smooth hotel operations
- Overseeing repairs, replacements, and refurbishment projects
- Ensuring all interior and exterior areas remain safe, clean, and fully operational, proactively identifying issues before they impact guests
- At least 2–3 years of maintenance or repair work under your belt
- A high school diploma or related vocational training
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures
- A reasonable level of fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
- Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
- Hotel experience is a plus
