Position SummaryThe Facilities Manager oversees the overall condition, safety, and functionality of The Hope Source's facilities. This role leads the maintenance and custodial team, manages preventive maintenance and larger capital projects, and coordinates outside vendors as needed. The Facilities Manager also manages the facilities budget and ensures the building consistently meets safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of the Facilities Maintenance Technician and custodial staff
- Assign, prioritize, and follow up on daily maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Oversee the overall condition of the building, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned repairs
- Identify and plan for larger building projects, such as renovations, equipment replacement, and capital repairs
- Source, coordinate, and manage outside vendors and contractors as needed, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and landscaping
- Manage the facilities budget, including tracking expenses and obtaining quotes for larger jobs
- Ensure the building meets safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards
- Conduct regular building walkthroughs to identify maintenance, safety, or compliance issues
- Maintain records of maintenance activity, inspections, vendor contracts, and warranties
- Respond to and help resolve escalated maintenance or facility issues
- Communicate building needs, project status, and budget items to leadership
- Prior experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related supervisory role
- Experience supervising maintenance or custodial staff
- Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural) and general maintenance practices
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage a budget and evaluate vendor quotes/contracts
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and requests at once
- Comfortable performing occasional hands‑on work when needed
- Competitive pay: $75,000 - $85,000 (Based on experience)
