As a
Lead Maintenance Technician
, you will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical manufacturing equipment. You will lead maintenance activities on the floor, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, support equipment reliability improvements, and help minimize downtime.

Your Team

You will be part of the Maintenance team, a group of skilled technicians dedicated to keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly. You'll work closely with Production Operators, Supervisors, Engineers, and outside vendors to solve equipment issues, improve equipment performance, and support a safe work environment. Success in this role requires teamwork, strong communication, and a willingness to share knowledge and assist others when needed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Respond to maintenance and equipment issues during regular work hours, while on call, or during emergencies.
  • Find the cause of equipment problems and determine the best solution.
  • Take equipment apart, inspect it, repair or replace damaged parts, reassemble it, and test it to ensure it works properly.
  • Identify and order the correct replacement parts.
  • Work with equipment vendors and manufacturer service technicians to troubleshoot, repair, and improve new and existing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC (Numerical Control) equipment, including automatic welders, tube benders, automatic lathes, power supplies, and other electronic equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot robots and hydraulic press equipment.
  • Work with maintenance leadership to order and maintain inventory of parts, materials, and supplies needed for repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Create, organize, and maintain equipment documentation, including sketches, wiring diagrams, drawings, and installation instructions.
  • Lead maintenance activities when the Maintenance Shift Lead is unavailable.
  • Keep the Maintenance Supervisor informed of work progress and any significant issues or concerns.
  • Refer employee corrective behavior matters to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Participate in company training programs, vendor training, and industry seminars to maintain and improve technical skills.
  • Complete work accurately, safely, and efficiently.
  • Participate in team meetings, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate equipment issues and solutions with team members and supervisors.
  • Follow all established processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Document production and maintenance information when needed to help identify problems, support quality improvements, and assist with scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues as they arise.
  • Train and assist other employees as needed to support quality, productivity, and workflow.
  • Evaluate defective materials, tooling, equipment issues, and potential production interruptions.
