About the OpportunityWe are partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire a Maintenance Manufacturing Manager for a high-volume production facility. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving maintenance excellence, equipment reliability, team development, operational performance, and continuous improvement across the plant.
This position is ideal for a proven manufacturing leader who has successfully managed large maintenance organizations, improved machine uptime, and built high-performing teams within complex industrial environments.
The Maintenance Manufacturing Manager will oversee approximately 37 maintenance technicians and will play a critical role in strengthening reliability programs, driving accountability, improving equipment performance, and supporting broader plant operations.
What Makes This Role UniqueThis is not a traditional maintenance manager position focused solely on reactive maintenance.
The facility is looking for a strong leader who can:

- Partner closely with production and plant leadership
- Grow into broader plant leadership responsibilities over time
The first several months will be heavily focused on learning the operation, understanding equipment reliability challenges, building relationships with the maintenance team, and spending significant time on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development- Lead, mentor, and develop a maintenance organization of approximately 37 technicians
- Drive accountability, engagement, and performance across the department
- Create development plans and growth opportunities for maintenance personnel
- Manage hiring, performance reviews, succession planning, and workforce development
- Foster a culture centered around safety, reliability, and operational excellence
- Improve machine uptime and overall equipment reliability
- Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Balance long-term reliability initiatives with day-to-day maintenance execution
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
- Utilize CMMS systems to monitor maintenance effectiveness and performance
- Partner closely with operations leadership to improve plant performance
- Support troubleshooting efforts during production challenges and downtime events
- Provide hands-on leadership and technical guidance on the manufacturing floor
- Help drive efficient and safe plant operations
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, 6S, A3, and operational excellence initiatives
- Support plant-wide transformation and improvement programs
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Identify and execute capital improvement projects
- Manage project implementation, vendor coordination, timelines, and budgets
- Support facility improvements and equipment upgrades
- Support mechanical, electrical, automation, controls, process, and reliability initiatives
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve long-term plant performance
- Review equipment performance and recommend technical improvements
- 7+ years of maintenance, engineering, reliability, or manufacturing leadership experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading maintenance teams in industrial manufacturing settings
- Strong maintenance and equipment reliability background
- Experience improving machine uptime and reducing downtime
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital projects
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience using CMMS platforms
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Experience with in automotive, packaging, plastics, paper, food manufacturing, or similar environments
- Experience with SAP or Maintenance Connection
- Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, A3, or Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience leading large maintenance organizations
- Experience supporting plant-wide operational transformation initiatives
