What you’ll do from day oneThe Maintenance Manager position ensures production equipment and support equipment are maintained to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role also supports the planned transition of maintenance and facilities knowledge, establishes maintenance standards, and partners with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to improve uptime and reduce recurring issues.
The impact you’ll make Maintenance Leadership and Team Development- Lead, coach, schedule, and develop maintenance technicians.
- Establish clear daily priorities for preventive maintenance, repairs, line calls, and improvement activities.
- Develop standard work, training plans, skills matrices, and cross-training plans for the maintenance team.
- Support succession planning and knowledge transfer for critical facilities and equipment knowledge.
- Own the preventive maintenance system, schedule, completion tracking, and follow-up actions for production and facility equipment.
- Ensure PMs are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule, including production equipment, support equipment, and facility systems.
- Analyze downtime, repeat failures, maintenance history, and production impacts to identify reliability improvement opportunities.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to translate equipment and process requirements into practical PM standards and repair plans.
- Lead maintenance response for equipment breakdowns, line calls, mechanical issues, electrical issues, facilities issues, and urgent production support needs.
- Troubleshoot, coordinate, and elevate technical problems involving production equipment, utilities, facility infrastructure, and material handling equipment.
- Ensure repairs are documented and recurring issues are addressed through corrective action or improvement projects.
- Coordinate outside service providers, contractors, and vendors when internal resources are not sufficient.
- Promote safe work practices, lockout/tagout discipline, proper tool usage, and compliance with applicable internal requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Safety, Facilities, and Production leadership to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members, contractors, vendors, and internal customers.
- Associate degree or technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. An equivalent combination of at least five years of hands‑on maintenance experience, leadership experience, and technical training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Five or more years of industrial maintenance, equipment repair, facilities, reliability, or related manufacturing experience.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, mechanical systems, controls, pneumatics, conveyors, production equipment, HVAC, and facilities infrastructure.
- Two or more years of supervisory, lead, or project leadership experience preferred.
