Chep Repair – Warehouse
Department: Warehouse / Pallet Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Chep
Repair Technician to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining pooled pallets to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards.

The ideal candidate has basic skills, is comfortable working with hand and power tools, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Attention to detail is essential, as repaired pallets must meet established quality and grading requirements before being released for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect pallets before and after the repair process to identify damaged, contaminated, or defective components.
  • Repair and replace damaged pallet boards, blocks, and other components as needed.
  • Safely remove nails, nail heads, and other damaged or protruding materials.
  • Properly align and secure replacement components to maintain pallet integrity and perimeter dimensions.
  • Use appropriate nail patterns, locations, and quantities when repairing pallets.
  • Inspect pallet surfaces for foreign materials such as stretch wrap, cardboard, debris, cobwebs, and other contaminants.
  • Rotate and inspect pallets from bottom to top to ensure all areas meet quality standards.
  • Identify and correct manufacturing or repair defects before pallets are released.
  • Follow established pallet grading requirements and quality specifications.
  • Safely operate hand tools and equipment required for pallet repair.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Meet productivity and quality expectations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Perform other warehouse and pallet-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to safely follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to identify damaged, defective, or contaminated pallet components.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to consistently
    lift, carry, and
    move 50+ pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
