My client, a growing global manufacturing organization with multiple facilities and more than 1,000 employees worldwide
, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and reliability operations at their new manufacturing facility in the Greater Indianapolis area
. Supporting a 24/7 plastic molding and assembly operation with approximately 75 employees
, this role will be responsible for building a strong preventive maintenance culture, ensuring equipment reliability, and leading a skilled team of technicians supporting automated manufacturing operations.

Position Summary

The Plant Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance and reliability operations at a modern plastic molding and assembly facility operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week
. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment, facilities systems, and automated manufacturing processes.

Reporting to plant leadership, the Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians while working closely with operations, engineering, and production teams to implement preventive maintenance programs, improve equipment uptime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead maintenance operations supporting a 24/7 plastic molding and assembly facility
  • Supervise and develop a team of 4–6 maintenance technicians
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Ensure reliability and uptime of injection molding equipment and automated production systems
  • Troubleshoot and support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and automation systems
  • Manage maintenance planning, work orders, and equipment tracking using CMMS systems
  • Oversee facility systems including utilities, HVAC, and plant infrastructure
  • Support capital equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve equipment performance and manufacturing efficiency
What You’ll Bring
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related field
  • Experience leading maintenance operations within manufacturing environments
  • Hands‑on experience supporting plastic molding or automated manufacturing equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automation systems
  • Experience implementing preventive maintenance and reliability programs
  • Experience managing maintenance teams in 24/7 manufacturing environments
  • Working knowledge of CMMS maintenance systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with production and engineering teams
  • Willingness to be on call to support critical plant operations when needed
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
