Position Summary:

The Housekeeper performs a variety of general cleaning duties across accommodation cabins and office areas at HKN's Rmilan Field, Syria, actively helping to maintain a hygienic and healthy environment for the workforce. Key duties include cleaning of all surfaces, bathrooms, and floors, bed-making, linen and towel changes, and monitoring cabins and rooms for faults or breakages. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, attentive to detail, and eager to maintain high hygiene standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clean accommodation cabins daily, including emptying trash bins, mopping floors, and making beds.

Change bed linen once per week, or more frequently if required.

Change towels once per week, or more frequently if required.

Clean toilets using approved cleaning agents and a toilet brush, including around the toilet bowl.

Mop the floor around toilets daily using an approved water/disinfectant mixture.

Clean shower cubicles, shower trays, and shower doors using approved detergents.

Clean shower heads weekly using a suitable brush to prevent limescale and bacteria build-up.

Ensure all accommodation rooms are cleaned, inspected, and prepared to company standards before new personnel occupy them and after occupants check out.

Inspect accommodation rooms during check-out and ensure all assigned furniture, fixtures, and equipment are present, undamaged, and in good condition, report any missing or damaged items immediately to the Camp Supervisor.

Responsible for keeping and managing room and store keys safely, making sure they are properly handled.

Responsible for ensuring proper recycling practices are followed during waste collection.

Respect and safeguard personal belongings, including wallets, food items, and other private property, ensuring they are not handled or disturbed.

Ensure each room has sufficient drinking water, toilet paper, and soap at all times.

Transfer dirty laundry from rooms to the camp laundry facility as required.

Ensure rooms, including windows, are kept clean and presentable at all times.

Clean office desks and communal office areas daily.

Empty office trash bins and ensure waste is properly segregated.

Assist in collecting litter around the camp perimeter to keep camp grounds clean and tidy, if requested.

Report any signs of leaks, breakages, or maintenance issues immediately to the Camp Supervisor.

Identify and report possible repair requirements observed during cleaning duties.

Actively participate in waste segregation and recycling initiatives across the camp.

Follow all hygiene protocols to help prevent the spread of infections such as scabies within the camp.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be of legal age to work (18 years or older) as per applicable labour law.

Must hold a valid medical/health certificate ("Yellow Card") and be free from communicable conditions such as scabies.

Must be fit and healthy, accustomed to long hours of manual cleaning work.

Willingness and ability to live and work in a remote field/camp environment.

Flexible to work rotational shift patterns, including day and night shifts, as required.

Maintain professional conduct, demonstrate teamwork by cooperating effectively with other departments, and perform additional duties as assigned by the Camp Supervisor.

Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a punctual, thorough, and efficient work ethic.

Willingness to take instructions from the Camp Supervisor or, where applicable, the Head Chef/Chef when supporting kitchen-area cleaning.

Agrees to undergo a medical health check prior to signing the employment/vendor contract, as applicable.
