- Install, troubleshoot and repair: A wide variety of process sensing devices (humidity, speed, vacuum, pressure, level, weight, tension, flow, viscosity, etc.) Entire industrial process control systems. This includes electronic, digital, analog, pneumatic, and mechanical control systems Electrical and pneumatic components on standalone production equipment. Both AC and DC motors and drive systems from .25 – 300
Hp. - Make PLC programming changes, back up electronic files and update blueprints as changes have been made.
- Read and work to the indicated accuracy, specifications, and tolerances as detailed on engineering drawings, machine assembly prints, equipment manuals, etc.
- Set up, operate, and read precision testing and measuring instruments to the manufacturer’s specifications of accuracy.
- Work from both written and verbal instructions with cross functional teams, including engineering groups, manufacturing groups, vendors, etc. all while observing and following 3M safety rules, 3M Guide to Conduct, and Plant Engineering departmental and site work rules.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- A minimum three (3) years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial setting in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- This position will/may require weekend, overtime, and holiday work on a three or four crew work schedule both inside and outside.
- Experience in programmable logic controllers, AC&DC drive controls. Pneumatic, analog and digital electronics, including computer/microprocessor control systems.
- Basic mathematics and basic computer skills
- Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M employment testing as a part of the selection process
