The Equipment Crew Member is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and breaking down furniture, event equipment, and audio/visual systems for meetings and events. The role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems quickly with minimal supervision.

• Set up and break down furniture, audio/visual, sound, and event equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot microphones, speakers, mixers, monitors, podium equipment, cabling, and related systems.
• Review event setup requirements and prepare spaces according to specifications.
• Transport, arrange, and store furniture and equipment as required.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organized, safe, and ready for use.
• Reset rooms and event spaces within required time frames.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and minor repairs.
• Respond quickly to changing schedules and unexpected event requirements.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Assist with training and provide guidance to new staff or interns when required.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and carpet cleaning.

• Knowledge or experience with audio/visual and sound equipment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull furniture and equipment.
• Must be comfortable working on your feet and performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Availability to work weekends and occasional short-notice assignments.

This is an active, hands-on position involving frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment and furniture. The role may require working flexible, event-based hours, including weekends.
