Semi-Skilled Laborer - DPW

Job Title

Position is responsible for providing general labor maintenance skills to the DPW Operations Maintenance Section.

Provide general labor functions commonly associated with City municipal work assignments.

Assists with asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete work, playground equipment repair, grounds keeping and other related duties.

Assists with snow removal functions

Cleans/washes equipment as needed

Operates small motorized equipment

Assists with the daily care and maintenance of tools and supplies

High School diploma or equivalent required. May be required to perform manual tasks that require lifting and carrying of objects in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds or more. A valid Indiana Driver's License is preferred.

Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to varying weather conditions. May be exposed to intermittent noise, dust, dirt, odors, solvents, heights and confined spaces. May be required to work overtime.
