Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager leads maintenance operations within a food and beverage manufacturing facility, overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, guiding maintenance personnel, and driving equipment reliability improvements while ensuring strict compliance with food safety, GMP, sanitation, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, leads, and contractors to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Manage daily maintenance operations to support production goals, optimize equipment performance, and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production and facility equipment to improve reliability and extend asset life.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment issues and drive effective root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to improve overall plant performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and internal company safety standards across all maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, control spare parts inventory, and coordinate work with outside vendors and service providers.
  • Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment or similar high-compliance production setting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to improve plant performance.
  • Ability to manage maintenance budgets and control spare parts inventory effectively.
  • Skill in coordinating and managing outside vendors and contractors.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide maintenance teams and influence plant-wide initiatives.

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
