Building Maintenance Technician I

• Performs routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
• Routine maintenance tasks could include assembly, furniture/equipment/material moves, minor electrical, minor plumbing and general labor.
• Must possess the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Interacts and may require contacting vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
• Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
• Responsible for the completion and accuracy of documentation related to assigned tasks.
• Works in an organized and safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations.

• Must have a High school Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• Required skills in decision making, time management, customer/client focus and attention to detail.
• Must be able to speak/read/write English.
• Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Frequently lifts and/or move items over 35 pounds.
• Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day.

Demonstrates proficiency in routine building maintenance, including minor electrical and plumbing tasks, while ensuring safety and organization. Capable of effective communication with vendors and maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
