- Direct involvement in the overall maintenance, inspection and repair of highly technical equipment, facilities, and utilities in a biopharmaceutical Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC Electrical components (up to 480
VAC 3 Phase) including motor starters, switches and sensors found on manufacturing equipment using basic test equipment such as multi‑meters and amp probes. - Mechanically inclined with the ability to work with hand tools, power tools, machine tools, and test instruments.
- Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance functions, audit PMs, and task lists, giving feedback on improvement ideas and ensuring all parts lists are accurate.
- Assist with completion of team workload as scheduled.
- Coordinate and prioritize assigned daily workload.
- Ensure major issues are recorded and communicated to Maintenance Lead/Management.
- Ensure issues and temporary repairs are escalated to Maintenance Lead/Management to ensure plans to fully resolve are in process.
- Practice safety and support team safety awareness.
- Communicate effectively on shift and to the Maintenance team to ensure any support requests are filled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This position requires varying environmental conditions, such as indoor/outdoor work, varying temperatures along with secondary gowning, entering coolers and freezers, hearing conservation areas (annual audiograms required).
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation.
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required per Safety Policy. Examples of required PPE are Arc Flash rated clothing and PPE, safety glasses, safety shoes, work gloves, respiratory protection, etc.
- Resolving machine and system issues in some cases under aseptic/clean room conditions.
- High School Diploma/ GED or Technical Trade School Diploma
- Must be willing and able to get boiler operator’s license within 1 year of employment.
- Ability to read and interpret blue-prints/schematics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements associated with this job, including but not limited to: lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs; working from ladders and elevated platforms.
- Experience working with OSHA general industry standards including hot work and lockout/tagout.
- Experience with the use of computerized systems and software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Participate in the current on-call rotation.

- Applicant should have previously demonstrated strong team skills, flexibility, motivation, ability to troubleshoot/problem solve, with a strong emphasis around safety and compliance practices.
- Minnesota Boiler license (required if hired; training provided).
- Experience with building management systems/software.
- Maintenance experience with pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical equipment and facilities.
- Associate’s degree in a Technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Mechatronics.
- Experience with lyophilization equipment or processes.
- Experience working with H2O systems that produce WFI, EP, and DI water for production consumption.
- Refrigeration experience with low‑temp freezers, blast freezers, air conditioning systems, or chillers.
