Full time maintenance/grounds/custodial position. Approximate July 27th start date. Hourly 12-month contract with pay based on qualifications. (Range: $18-$22/Hour). Reports directly to the Director of Buildings and Grounds. Position open until filled.
Desired Qualifications- Demonstrates a positive attitude, loyalty, cooperation, teamwork, attendance and safety.
- Maintains good public relations with students, parents, faculty, and community.
- Ability to work with interruptions frequently during a work shift.
- Ability to follow directions as well as work independently within the framework of the school environment.
- Flexible work schedule based on school need.
- Willingness to substitute for other employees.
- Ability to fulfill the physical and mental requirements of the job.
- Knowledge of Green custodial practices.
- Knowledge and ability of building maintenance and of grounds keeper duties.
- Ability to work in all 4 Iowa seasons in grounds maintenance as well as inside assignments.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment as needed.
- Within 6 months of hire willingness to obtain:
- Iowa Commercial Pesticide Applicator License.
- 7A General and Household Pest Management Certification.
- 3OT Ornamental and Turfgrass Pest Management Certification.
- CDL/Commercial Driver License with passenger endorsement.
- Must be able to pass background, child abuse and sex offender checks.
- HS Diploma.
