Maintenance Manager
Lead the maintenance team, drive capital improvement projects, and keep plant operations running at peak performance. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving equipment reliability, and making a lasting impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire position.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead, supervise, schedule, and develop the maintenance team.
- Manage capital improvement projects from planning through completion.
- Coordinate plant shutdowns and maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs and monitor equipment performance.
- Manage department budgets, maintenance records, inventory, and CMMS (MAPCON).
- Supervise equipment installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Partner with HR on hiring, performance management, coaching, and employee discipline.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment, materials, and services.
- Ensure compliance with safety programs, Management of Change (MOC) procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Maintenance Manager Requirements:
- Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field) but not required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and material handling systems.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, pump alignment, forklifts, and maintenance management software preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, work at heights, operate maintenance equipment, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
