Rate of Pay  hour

We are currently looking for a pro active janitor that is a hands on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs If you have a passion for a high growth environment and are committed to creating impact while seeking continuous improvement we want to talk to you

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances, grounds and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including property & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain appropriate checklists records and reports with respect to change room cleanliness
• Window cleanliness
• Washroom cleaning checklist
• Shower cleaning checklist
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming auto scrubbing waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods short staffing or as required

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Valid drivers license an asset
• Building Service Worker Certificate BC
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor preferred
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours evenings weekends and call outs
• Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills verbal and written
