The Custodian role is responsible for park maintenance daily operations such as cleaning, stocking and running park facilities including restrooms, offices, break areas and guest areas to ensure a clean, efficient and well-maintained park environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe and welcoming park environment and requires attention to detail, cleaning and sanitation knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Clean, sanitize and maintain restroom facilities including toilets, sinks, urinals, mirrors, floors, walls and changing areas in accordance with park safety and sanitation regulations.
• Clean and maintain park facilities including restrooms, offices, break rooms, walls, baseboards, drains, mop stations, sinks, waste cans, waste enclosures, food and beverage services, camp services, guest services, etc.
• Respond promptly to spills, cleaning emergencies, leaks, trash and human waste removal needs throughout the park.
• Set up/close down restroom station(s) at each shift ensuring cleanliness, organization and functional equipment.
• Stock and replenish restroom supplies, chemicals, soap, sanitizers and other hygienic materials as needed.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as cleaning park equipment and fixtures including horticulture.
• Complete closing duties including cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies and securing equipment and tools.
• Secure and verify cleaning equipment, storage areas, supply and chemical cabinets and any related tools.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and deliver exceptional cleanliness to our guests.
• Follow all California health, safety, sanitation and chemical standards and compliance requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures in alignment with the Orange County Environmental Health standards.

• Attend team meetings, learn best practices from leadership staff and complete required training sessions.
• Complete paperwork including restroom checks, cleaning logs, safety checklists and daily checklist reports.
• Operate certain equipment including rakes, brooms, sweep pans, mops, waste receptacles, waste compactors, etc.
• Communicate effectively with team members, leadership and management regarding team needs and concerns.
• Maintain inventory, report inventory levels and report shortages or equipment needs.
• Ensure assigned park areas meet health and safety standards from Orange County Environmental Health inspections.
• Complete any Sweep or Maintenance Technician job responsibilities, if necessary.
• Support special events, promotions or themed nights as scheduled.
• Perform other duties or special projects assigned to support business needs.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable, responsible and able to follow instructions.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, multi-tasking and communication skills with a team-focused mindset.
• Ability to handle team requests accurately and responsibly.

• Prior sweep, janitorial, custodial or maintenance experience in a theme park, hotel, hospitality, office or other public or private venue environment is preferred.
