Become a Key Player as a Maintenance Tech
You will plan and coordinate maintenance activities that keep equipment reliable and production on schedule, working closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Procurement. Your work directly impacts uptime, safety, and resource utilization while operating onsite in Irvine, CA.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Update and maintain the CMMS with accurate work orders, asset, and parts data.
- Stage, prioritize, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to meet production windows.
- Develop weekly and daily maintenance schedules and coordinate planned shutdowns/turnarounds.
- Monitor and resolve short-term capacity conflicts and manage contractor/vendor scheduling.
- Create, split, and update work orders; coordinate inspections, sign-offs, and proper closeout documentation.
- Track job progress across maintenance shops and external vendors; escalate discrepancies and delays.
- Coordinate release and kitting of materials, spares, and consumables to support scheduled work.
- Serve as liaison between Maintenance, EHS, and Operations to align maintenance windows with production demand.
- Prepare and deliver status updates and reports on job progress, backlog, PM compliance, and reliability metrics.
- Two years of maintenance planning/scheduling, maintenance coordination, or production support experience in a computerized environment.
- Working knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, EAM, or equivalent) and maintenance workflows (PM/PdM/CM).
- Understanding of maintenance resource and capacity planning and familiarity with MRO spares and basic MRP concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret routings, job plans, schematics, P&IDs, and blueprints.
- Proficiency with Excel and Outlook; experience with dashboards/reporting preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/walking tasks as required.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.
- Exposure to reliability/maintenance frameworks (e.g., TPM, RCM).
- Familiarity with KPIs such as PM compliance, backlog, MTBF/MTTR.
- Experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
$22.40 - $28.00/hour
