Job Overview
The Peak Season Repair Specialist serves as a pathway to full‑time employment with Safelite. In this role you will utilize industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass in the classroom and hands‑on under guidance of experienced technicians.
- Repair chips, cracks and other auto glass issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
- Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
- Clean the customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in company vehicle and shop.
- Operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
- Use cameras, GPS, and tracking technologies during driving duties to ensure safety and compliance.
- Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.25 per hour.
- Paid training and all required tools and resources.
- Base Pay Range: $18.25 – $27.50 per hour.
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any additional licenses required by law.
- On‑the‑job training/certification with Safelite Safe Tech™ (required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Lift & carry up to 25 lbs; assist with windshields weighing 26‑50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Operate a motor vehicle according to federal, state, and local laws.
- Maintain professionalism and provide outstanding customer service.
- Work safely outside under various weather conditions.
- Work with chemicals, including flammable, following the "Safelite Way of Fitting."
- Adapt to flexible start and end times.
- Problem‑solve and troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
- Read, write, and interpret English and technical directions.
- Communicate orally (phone) and in writing (computer or other electronic means).
- Maintain professional appearance per company uniform and PPE policies.
- Maintain stable performance under pressure.
