This individual will install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems for the plant, providing power for machines, equipment, lighting, and facilities in accordance with codes, regulations, and safety specifications.
Shift- 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday
- Ability to work a non-standard schedule as needed
Essential Duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance on facilities equipment and systems
- Repair malfunctions of machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment
- Routinely check machinery and systems for signs of faults to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions
- Initiate improvements to the functionality of facilities equipment and systems to increase efficiency
- Senior position may act as a team leader to ensure work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members
- Must demonstrate knowledge of field policies, procedures, and practices
- Document activities accordingly
- Mount components on chassis or panels in proper sequence; install and connect wiring harnesses to terminals; energize and test circuits; adjust and calibrate units for proper operation and reliable service
- Evaluate critical situations, consult with supervisory staff, and propose corrective actions

Expertise:Knowledge & Skills
- Required to apply advanced working knowledge of a technical field/area of specialization; exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts; proposes courses of action; performs master-level shop floor competencies
- Knowledge and experience working with electrical systems ranging from 24 volts up to 4 kV
- Works under general supervision; may periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of peers
- Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers; frequent contact with external contractors/vendors
- Uses appropriate PPE as required and testing equipment, including but not limited to multimeters, amp probes, power recording devices, and power quality meters
Qualifications - Education/Experience/Training
Required:
- High school diploma/GED
- 8+ years of related experience
Preferred:
- Associate’s or technical degree
- Electrical license or certification
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently uses hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
