Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for facility and grounds upkeep. You must be a well‑rounded individual who can perform on a variety of equipment units, perform building maintenance, and assist with basic groundskeeping.

• Maintains, repairs, and renovates physical office environment through tool use and contractor sourcing and supervision.
• Assists in office reorganization through furniture and equipment moves.
• Repairs malfunctioning equipment and certain functional elements of the building.
• May help to install machinery systems.
• May install and maintain ventilation and refrigeration units as necessary.
• Maintains/oversees plumbing system upkeep.
• Performs Quality Checks on equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order per pre‑defined preventive maintenance requirements.
• Performs peer‑to‑peer inspections on work performed by other maintenance technicians.
• Creates inspection and repair schedules.
• Performs groundskeeping work as needed.
• Oversees pest control duties performed by pest control contractor.
• Trains employees on proper equipment usage.
• Assists in on‑the‑job training and supervision of janitorial staff.
• Performs administrative computer tasks as needed.
• Provides on‑call maintenance support for facility‑related issues as needed.
• Manages inventory of janitorial and general office supplies.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and production support equipment.
• Maintains maintenance logs, work orders, and service records.
• Monitors and maintains facility utility systems including compressed air, argon, and HVAC.
• Responds to facility emergencies including utility failures, leaks, equipment breakdowns, and alarm conditions.
• Supports production operations by responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Performs daily facility walks to maintain operational standards and identify maintenance needs.

• Minimum High School Degree or GED Equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related technical field preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, medical device, or regulated environment preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems strongly preferred.

• Prior Maintenance Technician experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and facility drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds as necessary.
