Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, General Labor
About the Role
- Completion of work orders for tasks related to TAE Facilities.
- Warehousing duties, including clearing out and consolidating items in the warehouse.
- Collaborate with vendors to find the best solutions for disposing or recycling of TAE assets.
- Assist management in establishing and maintaining equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs.
- Follow a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan, maintaining all related records and logs.
- Communicate building status and changes to appropriate individuals.
- Adhere to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct, and best practices.
- Act in a professional, courteous manner with co‑workers, vendors, etc.
- Utilize materials, supplies, tools and building property in a safe, productive manner.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain building maintenance skills as required.
Climbing, operating heavy equipment, driving, lifting/carrying heavy items up to 50 lbs., stooping/bending, pushing/pulling/dragging heavy items, balancing in high places, standing for long periods of time, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, working in cramped places, and working outside or underground.
About You- 5+ years of related work experience and technical training.
- Class C Driver’s License.
- High school graduate or GED; technical school training in maintenance related courses preferred.
- Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications, and written operational procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co‑worker relations.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience required.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Capacity to do extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new job‑related software such as inventory control and asset management programs.
- Working knowledge of tools and their proper use.
Compensation ranges from $35.00 to $40.00 per hour. The total compensation package may also include other elements depending on the position offered.
