Job Description - Facility Attendant (260 Days) (RTP)

Position

Purpose:

Under minimum supervision, supervises maintenance athletic facility attendant employees, operates HVAC equipment, and performs housekeeping in the building and adjacent grounds, including scheduling and inspections. Responsible for ensuring the building is clean and secure for the next day.

Basic Functions:

Supervise assigned staff to ensure adequate maintenance of the building and grounds.

Operate HVAC equipment to maintain environmental comfort according to guidelines.

Inspect the facility daily for damage; initiate maintenance work orders and record resolutions.

Inspect employee work areas daily to ensure adherence to housekeeping standards.

Perform minor preventative maintenance repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting, following safety and structural inspections.

Maintain accurate records of employee activities, inventory, cleaning schedules, and vacation planning.

Procure materials and supplies needed for the facility.

Report emergency situations, problems, maintenance, and safety concerns to appropriate personnel; take necessary actions per established guidelines.

Maintain good public relations and communication with coworkers, principals, department heads, and supervisors.

Assist with setup for graduations, rentals, district meetings, and activities; prepare fields and courts to UIL standards; support teams with equipment and beverages for events.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or USA equivalent required.
Four (4) years of related experience.
Current CPO Managers Certificate required.
Valid Texas Driver License with a driving record meeting District standards.
Knowledge of HVAC operation, housekeeping procedures, and custodial equipment.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
