Facility Maintenance Technician

Job :FMT-TX

Location: Irving, TX area

Pay: $18 – $24 hourly + Overtime and employee benefits package

In this role you will perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.

Job Duties:

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.

• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician: may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors, replacing locks, other building fixtures, light bulbs, clogged drains, etc.

• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
• Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience making contact and scheduling specialized outside vendors (HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, etc..) for facilities maintenance and repair
• Experienced meeting with + following up with building facility contractors (fire testing, back flow of sprinkler system, roofers, etc)

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
• Facility maintenance tasks with painting, door locks, light bulbs, clogged drains etc.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Comfortable using a computer
• Clean / valid driver’s license
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills – English
