Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Park Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and assisting with the maintenance and repair of parks, sports complexes, facilities, medians, rights of way, and other high visibility and tourist-designated areas throughout the City. This position is also responsible for obtaining and maintaining the training, knowledge, and experience necessary to serve as backup to the Park Maintenance Supervisor during their absence.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Over 2 years of related experience.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather including extreme heat and cold with extended periods of time exposed to the outside elements.
- This position is considered essential, and attendance is mandatory in the event of a storm, disaster, or other catastrophic event.
- Subject to the City of Portland’s Background Investigation and Drug Testing Policy.
- Must provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States per Federal law.
