JOB DESCRIPTION - DALLAS TRAILER REPAIR CO.Parts Front Counter Responsibilities
  • Professionally, and with excellent customer service, interact with customers in person and over the phone
  • Communicating with vendors
  • Provide price quotes and other information
  • Able to follow company and department policies and procedures
  • Receiving of inventory and incoming shipments, including identifying damage or shortages
  • Pick, pull, process and ship outgoing orders
  • Stock inventory according to assigned bin location
  • Pull parts for work-in-process and deliver to job location on site
  • Safely load and secure large items or large quantities of items for transport in or on truck or trailer
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory counts as needed or requested
  • Notify management of stock, equipment or building damage
  • Ensure a safe, organized, and tidy workspace.
  • Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines, as well as common sense safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as support coworkers, able to work as part of team and work well with co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Able to pass drug test/medical physical exam
  • Able to pass background check.
  • Valid DL and clear MVR (if applicable)
  • Must be forklift certified or able to pass and obtain
  • Basic math skills
  • Understanding of units of measure
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as packing slips and invoices
  • Efficient and detail-oriented worker
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands/Abilities performed throughout the duration of the work shift
  • Heavy Work
    - Exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently or up to 20lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including other job related items.
  • Walking/Standing for sustained periods of time.
  • Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using entire body
  • Stooping/Crouching – Bending body downward and forward by bending at the waist, legs, and spine.
  • Balancing – Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling.
  • Kneeling/Crawling – Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee(s) or moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
  • Whole Hand/Fingers – Picking, pinching, typing with fingers and grasping with the fingers and palm.
  • Repetitive Motion – Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Talking – Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to others accurately and quickly when necessary.
  • Hearing – Receiving detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Vision – Close visual acuity to perform activities such as reading, using measurement devices, viewing electronic devices, assembling, inspecting small parts and/or operating machines and power tools, operate a motor vehicle and determine the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work performed.

Work is performed in a shop; both indoors and outdoors. Activities occur inside and outside and are subject to work environments that are not climate controlled, weather, and hot/cold temperature changes, dirt, dust, soot and possibly mold, loud noise, and ladders to use for high heights. Potential h azards such as m oving vehicles, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, high heat, and exposure to chemicals, atmospheric conditions (e.g., fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases), or poor ventilation, or a workspace may be exposed to smoke residue, mold and mildew, contaminated water, or other unsanitary conditions as well as being in closed quarters/confined spaces (e.g. crawl spaces, small, enclosed rooms, attics, etc.).
