Wash Rack Associate

The Wash Rack Associate is responsible for safely washing and cleaning inventory. This position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, this position serves as local support for the yard operations team.

• Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools and processes, ensuring alignment with Vision, Values, and Mission.
• Wash and clean machines, work tools, or other items as necessary to prepare for shipping, inspection, or repair, using pressure washers, hoses, and cleaning agents to remove dirt, grease, and contaminants.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste materials; maintain wash rack in alignment with environmental standards.
• Document condition of equipment before and after cleaning, noting any issues or repairs needed.
• Assist with equipment demonstrations and loading/unloading of equipment.
• Complete and stay up to date on monthly safety trainings.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work safely at all times and adhere to all applicable safety policies, company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including support for the yard operations team.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One or more years of work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Travel:

• Some overnight travel required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods on feet.
• Frequent communication with others, requiring accurate information exchange.
• Constant movement and use of limbs; requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
• Prolonged periods standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, crouching, and twisting.
• Frequently move materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ascend/descend gradually or continuously by oneself, using both hands and feet; climb up and down ladders.
• Routinely react to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions; required to visually inspect work.

Work Environment:

• Regularly works outdoors around moving mechanical parts; may be exposed to weather extremes such as inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
• Noise level may be loud at times.
• Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high‑pressure water, and high‑speed rotating equipment.
• Requires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE).
• Significant time spent in confined spaces and/or at high places.
• Frequently works at a fast pace with unplanned interruptions.
