North Texas Real Estate Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, security, and day-to-day functionality of our headquarters and satellite office locations. This is a hands-on, multi-location facilities leadership role that combines facility operations, vendor and employee management, safety and security, preventive maintenance, and operational support for Association meetings, events, and external room rentals.

In this role, you'll manage facility operations, vendors, preventive maintenance, repairs, safety and security systems, office moves and installations while also overseeing the facility logistics and room readiness required for Association meetings, events, and external room rentals. You'll supervise our Facilities team and work closely with leadership and departments throughout the organization to identify needs, prioritize projects, and ensure our offices and meeting spaces remain safe, professional, welcoming, and operational.

This position is ideal for someone who combines practical facilities knowledge with strong organization, leadership, vendor management, and problem-solving skills and is comfortable traveling regularly among our service center locations.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee building maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and daily facility operations across multiple office locations.
  • Manage relationships with janitorial, HVAC, landscaping, maintenance, security, utility, and other facility vendors.
  • Coordinate facility leases, office moves, furniture and equipment installations, and related facility projects.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance, safety, security, and operational needs.
  • Monitor facility budgets, work orders, vendor activity, contracts, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, OSHA and ADA standards, and organizational emergency procedures.
  • Oversee facility-related access control, alarm, video surveillance, keys, credentials, and related security systems in partnership with IT.
  • Coordinate room setup, A/V, signage, and hospitality requirements for Association meetings, events, and external room rentals.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand, prioritize, and respond to facility needs.
  • Supervise, develop, and provide day-to-day direction to Facilities Coordinator staff.
  • Travel regularly among Association locations to ensure consistent facility support and operational readiness.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate degree in facilities management, business administration, construction management, hospitality, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or facility operations, including experience supporting meetings, events, room rentals, or similar facility-based functions.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
  • Strong understanding of facility safety and security procedures.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple facilities, projects, and competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising or leading employees.
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors, including evaluating service, coordinating work, and managing vendor agreements or contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using facility-management, work-order, or related systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and ADA requirements.
  • Ability to travel regularly among Association locations.

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Frequently walk throughout facilities and regularly sit and use hands and fingers.
  • Occasionally stand, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.

  • Work in an environment where the noise level is generally moderate.
  • Perform work requiring close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
