Job Title: Backend General Labor

Reports to: Production Manager, Assistant Manager, Store Manager

The Backened General Labor performs a variety of physical tasks to support daily operations in the warehouse and production of the store. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating basic equipment, and assisting with production or warehouse activities as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Stack all carts properly
• Weigh and accurately record the weights of all received merchandise
• Pack clothing, sheets, or cardboard as needed
• Pack seasonal items and shoes as needed
• Empty all trash cans daily
• Clean the restrooms and break room daily
• Complete closing procedures
• Organize all hanger racks, filling all hanger rails on the sorting tables
• Move full Gaylords to the appropriate area in the back end
• Properly label all Gaylords: each Gaylord placed on a pallet must have a label with the store name and contents.
• Pair shoes—daily targets must be met
• Record the inventory count at the end of the night
• Plug in each electronic device to verify that it works
• Load and unload trucks
• Assist management in providing a safe environment for coworkers and customers by identifying and correcting hazards and/or equipment in need of maintenance

This job will be performed both inside and outside of air-conditioned areas. Ability to lift more than 50 pounds. You must dress appropriately. You must always wear a T-shirt and closed-toe shoes.
