Position Overview
This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint. The role requires proficiency in basic and advanced cleaning techniques and supply stocking used in patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical, or visitor areas. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in advanced cleaning for locations such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Emergency Room, campus-wide operations, and floor care.
Interaction with visitors, patients, or staff ranges from limited to high. The candidate must consistently demonstrate skill and knowledge in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods necessary to maintain the department’s established quality standards. The role also requires knowledge of safe handling and removal of medical waste, encompassing hazardous, regulated, infectious, recyclable, and regular waste.
Computer proficiency at a high frequency is required.

Required Qualifications- 1 year of customer service experience
- Coursework/Training:
Vocational training and certification will also be considered - 1 year of experience in housekeeping or janitorial/custodial work in a healthcare/long‑term care setting or hotel setting

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
