What will I be doing?

A Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The role involves interacting frequently with guests and customers to earn repeat and expanded business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Obtain full knowledge of competitor products to understand the market place and maximize profit.
  • Send event proposals according to Hilton's current standards or visit the client to convert the business for maximum profit.
  • Convince clients to choose Hilton Istanbul Bomonti by proper follow up on each booking using negotiating techniques.
  • Prepare the contract and pro-forma invoice, follow up of the 1st payment.
  • Conduct showarounds and menu tastings if needed; attend pre-con meetings with the client.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their specific needs and requirements, concentrating on larger accounts to develop future/repeat business for the hotel.
  • Ensure maximization of sales and revenue for the hotel by being aware of all sales opportunities within all areas of the hotel.
  • Give availability and rates for rooms and banquet events in line with targeted selling strategy.
  • Entertain the client, prepare and lead site inspections and stay-overs per current procedures and standards.
  • Consider competition, need period, business on the books and market structure for any booking decision.
  • Answer and register incoming calls as per telephone handling procedure.
  • Entertain walk‑in & site inspection guests; try to maximize conversion of walk‑in & inspection meetings to sales leads.
  • Welcome groups and leaders upon arrival and assist during event.

  • University graduate (preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields).
  • Experience in office management and coordination in a similar position.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Team player with a solution‑oriented approach.
  • Detail‑oriented and responsible.
  • English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Committed to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems.
