Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of building related vocational - technical programs are preferred.
- Minimum of three years recent experience performing maintenance work in building related trades.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to perform duties with a high degree of accuracy and care to avoid structural breakdowns.
- Abel to respond to direct and radio requests as soon as possible.
- Able to maintain proper neat uniform appearance.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- If state law requires, must possess a valid boiler license.
- Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints, and work orders.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment maintenance.
- General record keeping skills.
- Customer service orientation and sensitivity to diverse needs of coworkers, employees, and other persons contacted in the daily course of work.
- Must be able/willing to transfer into Local union.
- Must be willing to work overtime on weekends, holidays, and after hours (after 3:30 PM CST) when on call.
- Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
- Fits and installs doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using necessary power tools and materials.
- Responsible for constructing varies tasks from scratch such as lock up boxes.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as: ordering material and writing purchase orders, expense receipts, and data entry for work reports via iPhone app.
- Maintains a neat, clean and safe work area and drop location (Material ordering).
- Responsible to make daily checks on all materials that were on order.
- Manage communications for completed service calls in a timely manner as required.
Performs all duties in a timely, efficient, & professional manner.
