GENERAL

PURPOSE:

Receive, process, pack or shipment of material and finished goods, maintain stock records in a computer inventory system.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Receive and process incoming orders; load, unload, transport, and store material in designated areas and individually designated stock locations within the complex. Maintain inventories, store, and issue equipment, material and tools; process, pack and load orders for shipment.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Receive assignments from supervisor; using appropriate equipment and containers as needed for receiving, moving, packing and shipping (i.e., fork trucks, hand trucks, electric carts, hand carts). Processes, verifies shipment orders. Provides reorder reports.

Work experience equivalent to high school, using mathematical computations involving addition, subtraction, operational knowledge of electrical equipment, with the skills to perform preventive maintenance requirements on related equipment. Makes decisions based on established guidelines and job experience. Substantial contact with others to perform duties of job. Performs work within a wide range of safety precautions. Moderate physical exertion is required.

Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the Borg Warner Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers.

In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
