The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within a facility. This position ensures that all common areas, restrooms, and work spaces are kept orderly and sanitized throughout the day, contributing to operational efficiency and employee well-being. The Day Porter supports the manufacturing team by promptly addressing cleanliness issues, managing waste disposal, and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter services preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with a commitment to safety protocols.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Basic maintenance skills such as minor repairs or equipment troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor scrubbers or buffers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas during daytime hours.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other restroom necessities to ensure availability at all times.
• Report any facility maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings or special events within the manufacturing facility as needed.
