Segue, Inc. is looking for a part-time Maintenance & Custodial Technician to keep our facilities clean, well-maintained, and safe.

POSITIONSUMMARY
The part-time Maintenance & Custodial Technician helps maintain safe, clean, functional, accessible, and professional facilities for Segue, Inc. The position performs custodial services, preventive maintenance, routine building and equipment repairs, grounds and seasonal upkeep, building-systems monitoring, supply and inventory control, required maintenance documentation, and coordination with contractors and inspectors.
Routine work is performed independently within the employee's training and authorization. The Technician promptly reports conditions requiring licensed trades, specialized expertise, significant expenditure, or leadership direction and completes special assignments according to organizational priorities.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of successful custodial, building-maintenance, facilities, or comparable hands-on experience
- Working knowledge of commercial or institutional building systems and routine maintenance practices, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, and HVAC-related tasks that may lawfully and safely be performed without a licensed trade credential
- Knowledge of standard cleaning, sanitation, floor-care, and custodial procedures, materials, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, chemical labeling and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe storage and disposal methods
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, equipment manuals, diagrams, preventive-maintenance schedules, chemical instructions, and safety information
- Basic computer skills, including email and the ability to maintain electronic logs, inventories, schedules, and work-related records
- Ability to organize work, respond to changing priorities, communicate needed repairs or safety concerns promptly, and complete assigned tasks reliably
- Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record when operating an agency or personal vehicle for work purposes
Preferred:
- Technical, vocational, apprenticeship, or other formal training in facilities maintenance, building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, boiler operations, or a related trade
- Applicable building-maintenance, boiler, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, safety, or equipment certification relevant to the duties assigned
- Experience maintaining boilers, HVAC systems, building automation or remote-monitoring systems, and preventive-maintenance programs
- Experience coordinating contractors, inspections, service agreements, warranties, and facility-maintenance records
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral-health, nonprofit, educational, or other regulated service environment
- Clean and disinfect offices, bathrooms, treatment areas, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets
- Clean windows, furniture, fixtures, and equipment as needed
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor receptacles
- Respond to spills or urgent cleaning needs, including biohazard cleanup following training and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and individuals receiving services
