Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

We have an opening for a full‑time JANITOR position located at Rolls Royce – 1100 Stennis Space Center, Stennis, MS 39529. Applications are accepted online only. The schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift. Pay ranges from $17.50 to $18.00 per hour.

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and reposition items correctly.
• Clean assigned areas with designated materials and equipment, sanitize all surfaces, and follow the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least 1 year of janitorial experience required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
